Total Gallons Formula
Length (ft) × Width (ft) × Depth (in) ÷ 9,720 = Total Gallons

Three common applications. ROADBOND EN 1 is used in three primary ways. Clay subgrade stabilization: used on its own in clay soils with a plasticity index (PI) of 20 or above. With other stabilizers: used alongside Portland cement, fly ash or lime, where it improves how those materials react and allows reduced stabilizer loading. Base material improvement: strengthens base materials such as crushed limestone and recycled concrete.

Storage and handling. ROADBOND EN 1 shall be stored and handled in closed, weatherproof containers until immediate distribution on the road. Materials must be kept in covered, well-ventilated storage with adequate protection from flooding or damage. For mixing ease and safety, round up to the nearest 5-gallon increment. Follow strict application instructions.

Quantities are calculated from the published ROADBOND EN 1 application rate formula, which is equivalent to one gallon per 30 cubic yards of material, or one gallon per 28.5 cubic yards when combined with another stabilizer. The published rate chart covers 6, 8 and 10 inch depths; this calculator computes any depth entered and flags those outside the chart. Results are order estimates. Confirm all quantities with CSS Technology, LLC before ordering. Freight and applicable taxes are not included.
